Technical services and research support department has been established to provide scientific and technical support for all the departments of the institute.
The network and computer division of this department is responsible for:
- Establishment, maintenance and providing internet, intranet and all kinds of computer related services to the researchers through 512 kb data lines. For this purpose, the manageable switches are designed (used), which can be regularly updated. The user's satisfaction is achieved with establishing of a cash server which can provide a high-speed access to the users.
- Construction of ABRII's website and revise it regularly
- Constructing the personal homepages for researchers and also exclusive email for them
To make relation between ABRII and other research institutes in the campus, the optical fiber network of 100mbps speed is established. Consequently, the other researchers from other institutes are able to use internet from their offices via ABRII's internet service. Additionally, they can use the other ABRII's facilities with Dial-up system, through internal telephone lines.
The researchers are able to share the latest information and articles, through some special mailing list which are available for different departments. Special and exclusive programs are available to avert and remove software and hardware problems. This department is also active for buying, repairing and updating of server's computers terminals.
