| Identification of informative markers in durum wheat |

In this study, genetic relationship of 115 Iranian and foreign durum wheat genotypes (Triticum durum) are studied using AFLP, SSR, EST-SSR and AFLP-retrotransposon markers and morphological characters. Preliminary molecular analyses results revealed that Iranian and foreign durum wheat genotypes were clustered into two distinct groups indicating the different genetic base in these genotypes. Morphological selection on Iranian durum wheat landraces caused a genetic homogeneity on the selected genotypes. The preliminary results indicated an acceptable relationship between genetic and geographical diversity presenting no physical mixture happened among the genotypes.
