A delegation from Venezuela visited Agricultural Biotechnology Research Institute of Iran (ABRII) on Monday, August 1, 2022.

ABRII’s commercialized achievements were explained by Prof. Gholamreza Salehi Jouzani, Director General of ABRII during the visit to ABRII’s exhibition. The delegation visited the ABRII’s departments and the head of the departments introduced the ongoing projects of faculty members. During the meeting held after the visit to the laboratories, both parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation and discussed opportunities for new collaborations. Exchanging academic staff and students, and conducting joint research activities were discussed at the meeting.

After stating congratulation on the remarkable scientific achievements of ABRII, the Minister of Science of Venezuela mentioned that such efforts and research successes are the secrets of Iran's resistance and victory against sanctions. Raul Hernandez, the advisor to Vice President, stated that it is very desirable to work with ABRII on nanoscience. Referring to the costs of importing nano-based products to Venezuela, he requested the transfer of technical knowledge of nano-based products to Venezuela through agreements and contracts.

Prof. Gholamreza Salehi Jouzani presented a gift to the other party at the end of the meeting.
