The meeting was held at the request of the head of the International Cooperation Department, Belarusian State University of Food Chemical Technologies at Tehran International Permanent Fairgrounds, the 29^th edition of the International Exhibition of Food, Food Technology and Agriculture (Iran Agrofood 2022) at the Belarus booth. First, representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus introduced the Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies. Then, Alexander Shepshelev, Deputy General Director for scientific work of the Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus comprehensively explained the activities of the center.

Representatives of ABRII were Dr. Forough Ghasemi, Dr. Amene Naseri, and Prof. M. Amin Hejazi. Dr. Forough Ghasemi, the head of the International Scientific Cooperation Office of ABRII presented ABRII's research activities. Then, Prof. Hejazi, the Director of the Food Biotechnology Institute of ABRII provided an online presentation about the ongoing and completed research activities of the institute. Along with Prof. Hejazi's presentation, the Belarusian delegation expressed excitement about the mutual research topics of the Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs and Food Biotechnology Institute of ABRII.

After the presentations, the parties discussed the potential lines of collaboration between ABRII and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Both sides had a discussion on how to prepare a memorandum of scientific cooperation.
