ABRII’s scientific advisory board member, Dr. Mohammad Reza Hajirezaei, professor of Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research Molecular Plant Nutrition Group (IPK), visited ABRII for the second time in order to expand the scientific collaborations. The discussions were on development of plant physiology department abilities in both software and hardware facilities for evaluation metabolites in crop plants under different stresses, Anatomy and phenotyping of root rice, etc.

     Hajirezaei also held a remarkable workshop entitled: “The Techniques of Presentation” on 18^th of April.

     Communicating with scientific centers of the world, including IPK, cooperating in obtaining research grants from DFG, and holding scientific workshops are some of the objectives that ABRII and Dr. Hajirezaei are cooperating on.

     Dr. Hajirezaei Finished high school in Tehran and completed his higher education in biology in Germany. He did his Ph.D. in physiology and plant biochemistry in Bayreuth University. He has worked on increasing resistance in ornamental and non- ornamental plants and also root initiation engineering in ornamental plants. one of his prominent research projects in his doctorate period was gene transferring to plants, especially his work on P-enzyme and its effects on metabolism. Publishing two books in English and more than 80 ISI articles are some of the achievements of this Iranian IPK professor.
