Dr. Morteza Ebrahimi joined ABRII-CB in 2003 and started his career as a searcher at the Dept. of Plant Tissue Culture. He is experienced in plant tissue culture techniques and collaborated with a group of researchers in ABRII to commercialize the production of the potato seed tuber in Iran, since 2003. It is more than ten years that he is managing for preparation of pathogen-free stock plants of potato’s different varieties for distribution in several private companies. He is now dedicated to micropropagation and production of secondary metabolites using Bioreactor technology and the development of closed plant production systems in medicinal plants. One of his objectives and interests is implementing metabolite engineering in medicinal plants.
